Since its opening in the 1990’s, the Hobgoblin High Wycombe has gained a legendary status in the town. A traditional pub and a great meeting place for everyone. The pub has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere catering for all ages and personalities.

The Hobgoblin has kept its status as a Punky, Anarchic, Fun and Alternative place to drink in town. By night, a lively, sociable and musically orientated place to be, with Live Bands, Dj’s, a regular Quiz Night and any excuse to have a party! All music tastes are catered for from Rock to Hip-Hop, Funk to Metal and everything in between. With a wide range of different DJ’s and Bands as well as a great jukebox to choose from, there is something for everyone!

By day, a perfect meeting place for students, work colleagues and postmen! It’s also ideal for a peaceful drink with a book or a companion. Even bring your laptop down and use our free wifi. There is even a heated and sheltered area in our lovely beer garden, perfect for those Winter months! Enjoy music from our great jukebox, whilst also having a pint and a cigarette (if you choose). The garden is also perfect for escaping the bustle of the busy town centre during the day.

We offer a great selection of ales from local and regional breweries, alongside the best from Wychwood Brewery, with guest ales rotated on a regular basis. Our ales include our own legendary Hobgoblin, our customers’ favourite, a fine ruby red coloured dark cask real ale, with a delicious chocolate toffee malt flavour. We also have dark ales including Bombardier and Courage Best and pale ales such as Spitfire.

But keep an eye out for seasonal guest ales from smaller breweries such as the White Horse Brewery in Oxford and other Wychwood ales such as Big Bertha. Whatever your taste we hope you are catered for, however whichever one you choose we can guarantee it has been taken care of carefully for you to enjoy the perfect pint. After much time the legendary Hobgoblin is once again proud of its real ales!

If ale is not your tipple, apart from our non-alcoholic drinks, we have a range of ciders on offer including Strongbow, Magners and for the more daring Scrumpy Jack and Wychwood’s own bottled Oak Aged Cider, Green Goblin at 6% abv! For lager drinkers, there are premium draughts such as Heineken and Kronenbourg and lighter lagers such as Fosters and Amstel. A perfect pint of Guiness or Guiness Extra Cold is also on tap! We also have bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale, Corona, Becks, Budweiser, and Holsten Pils. For the finer palate we serve dry and medium white wine, red wine and rose by the glass or the bottle.!
